Review Date: July 31, 2016
Jan Marini Face C-esta Serum claims to protect your skin while tightening it through its combination of potent anti-aging ingredients. With continued use, the product promises to give you a rejuvenated and healthy-looking skin.
If you’re going to spend your money on a skin care product, you want to be sure it’ll be worth it, right? Jan Marini Face C-esta is one of the most expensive vitamin C serums in the market today.
In case you’re thinking of investing your money on it, you might want to know what we think of it first. For an in-depth review of the best performing serums, you can also click here.
About The Brand
Jan Marini is a skin care line pioneered by a woman who comes by the same name. It started out in 1994 and has developed its own award-winning Skin Care Management System.
The brand has a lot of cutting-edge skincare products which is widely respected in the industry.
This Jan Marini vitamin C serum contains hyaluronic acid, zinc sulfate and sodium hyaluronate on top of its ascorbyl palmitate content.
The product has methylparaben and polyparaben, which can cause adverse reactions in case you’re particularly sensitive to these ingredients.
Uses and Effects
This serum is an excellent product when it comes to sun protection and skin rejuvenation. It goes on smooth on the skin and immediately gets rid of dryness upon application.
For some users, it only took a month before they were able to see a noticeable difference in their skin. The product gave them a healthy glow which made them decide to keep it as a staple product in their vanity.
Jan Marini Face C-esta Serum has a lightweight , completely absorbable formulation. It’s recommended for all skin types, particularly those affected by skin aging and hyperpigmentation issues.
It isn’t as thick as other serums, but is not too runny either. This can be good news if you’re easily annoyed by tacky and sticky skin care products.
Take note that this serum carries an orange scent.
How To Use
Prior to use, make sure to shake the bottle first. Take out a small amount of product and apply a thin layer over your skin.
You can use this once or twice a day, depending on your skin’s needs and tolerance. Keep in mind to let it completely dry before applying another product on your skin.
The product can change color over time. Although the brand claims that it will not affect its potency, we suggest that you assess it thoroughly for signs of oxidation.
Because of oxidation issues, Jan Marini has changed the packaging of its serum. It now comes in a tall silver pump bottle to limit the exposure of the product to air and light.
The problem with the new packaging, however, is that it’s difficult to get all of the product out. If you want to get the last drops out of it or if the nozzle gets clogged, you may need to unscrew its top first.
Take note that this product is a bit expensive.
